Welcome to the West Chester University Environmental Council web site. The Environmental Council is a group of students, faculty, and staff focusing on the University mission to understand the earth's systems, assess the impact of specific actions on our environment and society, and implement sound practices to achieve a sustainable earth. The Environmental Council is working to improve human welfare and environmental quality through curricular, facilities, research, and green project initiatives.

Keep Informed

A vital part of the mission of the Environmental Council is to keep the members of the university's community informed and engaged on issues related to the environment. Two ways that we are doing this is through this web site and an electronic newsletter.

The Council is using a weblog to make information available to you quickly. Our blog, Purple Goes Green, will contain news, events, and issues information, posted by members of the Council. We will be adding information on how you can get a summary of the day's entries delivered to you every evening by email.

Additionally, we have established an electronic mailing list. In addition to monthly newsletters, we will be using this mailing list as a way to quickly notify you of events and issues of concern to all. Take a minute and sign up for the mailing list by using the below form.
