Former WxGuru and original "vortex" webmaster. I thank Jim for setting up vortex, and its design and applications. Jim, return my office key, please! Jim applied perl code to weather data from a wide range of obscure sources. Particularly interested in near realtime data gathering for local forecasting and severe weather warning systems. Obscure fact: built a sling psychrometer at age 7.

Girish Akasapu

Girish is the latest WxGuru, who has been working with me since August 2007. Girish is a Masters student in Computer Science here at West Chester University and is analyzing an exclusive AWS/WeatherBug dataset to improve short-term forecasting!
